Afternoon Session

Match 16 - Ronnie O'Sullivan v Dominic Dale

The Rocket is on

Here comes the Rocket. Ronnie does turn up this time and does not disappoint his fans. He attempt maximum twice in the session even though there is no prize for maximum break this year. One is missed on the 13th red and finish at 96. Another miss out is he runs out of position at 78. He plays well, takes the first two frames before Dale levels it 2-2 to enter the mid-interval. Ronnie is on fire and plays even better after the mid-interval. He does not allow Dale to win a frame. He leads Dale 7-2 with breaks 73, 78, 96, 113. 113 is his 100th century he made in the Crucible. Ronnie is back! :-)

Seventh-time World Champion survives

Hendry leads 6-3 before second session starts but soon the lead evaporates. Perry goes 6-6 from 3-6 down but Hendry wins last frame before mid session, 7-6. They make 7-7, Hendry leads 9-8 but Perry set up a decider. In the decider, Hendry leads 53-0 before Perry makes 33. But Perry makes some mistakes. Hendry finally wins 62-34 in the decider. Hendry won another decider apart from last year victory over Debutant Zhang Anda in Last 32. Hendry said he may consider retirement if he won the title this year. Hednry still enjoys each match he plays. Good luck to the 7th time world champion!
