UK Champonship Qualifiers Day 3 - Hendry to face Greene in his 23 years' first qualifier

Down to the second last day of UK Championship Qualifiers. 16 Players are just one step away from the main draw of UK Championship after winning their matches.

Hendry is ready for his match
The most attention-getting player of the qualifiers must be Stephen Hendry, who recently dropped out of the top 16 for the first time since 1987/1988 season at this cut-off point - That means Hendry must play a qualifying match in order to join the event at York. And his opponent came out today he is Gerard Greene who defeated Jimmy Robertson 6-2 to be rewarded for this crucial meeting.

Good luck to Stephen for his match today. We all know that the Seven-times World Champion would not get used to these but look at Steve Davis who just came through his opening match today to play Andrew Higginson in the final round. Stephen can do it too.

Xiao Guodong displayed brilliant snooker by trashing Mike Dunn 6-0 in 78 minutes only with 54, 61, 60, 60, 51 and 58 to continue his hope to qualify for UK for the first time. Tian Pengfei is not the lucky one, he was defeated 6-4 by Nigel Bond despite being 3-0 up. The Whirlwind lost to Jamie Jones in the decider.
