German Masters Qualifiers Day 2 - Anthony McGill saw off Li Yan in first round

Second day of the German Masters Qualifiers continued to take place in World Snooker Academy, Sheffield.

Anthony McGill
Scotland's young talent Anthony McGill saw off Chinese Li Yan, who has qualified for UK Championship early this month by winning four matches in a row. McGill came back from 0-2 to level 3-3 against Li, before he took the victory with 87 and 67 in the last two frames to win 5-3. The Scotsman will face Adam Duffy who survived comeback of Dave Harold to win 5-3.

Welshman Michael White
Welshman Michael White defeated Michael Holt 5-2 to face Xiao Guodong, a 5-3 winner against David Gilbert with a century break 117. Paul Davison beaten Matthew Selt in the decider while his next round opponent had an easy 5-2 win over Gerard Greene. 'Angles' Alan McManus got a walkover from Robin Hull, who did not show up for the match.

Liang Wenbo
James Wattana sent his fellow countryman Passakorn Sunwannawat by 5-2, Andrew Pagett that qualified for the Crucible this year shattered Nigel Bond by 5-1. Liang Wenbo set up a all chinese second round match with Liu Chuang by winning 5-3 over Aditya Metha.
