German Masters Qualifiers Day 4 - Doherty booked Berlin spot by Recovery

Down to the final round of German Masters Qualifiers, Ken Doherty battled to book his spot in Berlin by a great comeback.

To the 1997 World Champion, this victory may be one of his most memorable and important victory. His opponent in the match, Sam Craigie who beaten Jack Lisowski and David Grey in the previous rounds was in control in the first four frames. Craigie led Doherty for 4-0 and just one frame away from victory. However, the crafty Ken managed to win four frames in a row after mid session to level. In the decider, Doherty made 43 before Craigie made 44 to lead 58-43. But it was Ken the eventual winner of the 5-hour match on the final pink.

On the contray, Seven-times World Champion Stephen Hendry will miss the first ranking tournament in over 15 years owing to his defeat to James Wattana in the final qualifying round. The Thai succeed with top breaks of 102, 70, 56 and 50 to qualify for German Masters.

China's Yu Delu has qualified for TV stage of ranking tournament for the first time by beating Jamie Cope 5-3 thanks to his century 100 in the sixth frame. Mike Dunn defeated Mark King by 5-3 to qualify for the tournament after he had made 147 in his first qualifying match.

Mark Davis ended Michael White's fantastic run by means of winning 5-2., so did Ryan Day edged out Anthony McGill in the decider. Tom Ford completed another whitewash after his 6-0 victory over Liu Chuang for UK Championship early this month.
